Kids say the darnedest things!

We have had a lot of funny slip of the tongues around here that I just HAVE to record! Yesterday I heard Molly singing " I have a puss, I have a BIG puss." In shock I turned around to see her Barbie using a pot holder as a PURSE! Whew! Big sigh of relief from Mom.
We watched "It's A Wonderful Life" the other day. If you know anything about my kids, they have to ask a million questions about any movie they watch. Well, Hannah had me cornered today and was asking all about the movie. She wanted to know why Violet wanted George to help her down from the bar stool. I was eating when I replied that she was flirting with him. The response came in a thoughtful tone: "Mom, why was she farting with him?" I kept it together and corrected her, but the more I thought about it the harder I laughed. That's a pick up line if I ever heard one, "Hey, lets fart!"

Another Day In Paradise

I guess the only way to begin is to just start. We are excited to get ready for Christmas here! We went up the mountain to cut our own tree this weekend. We gained a much greater appreciation for our pioneer ancestors. The weather was great but the snow was deep. After trudging about a mile with three kids and a dog in tow. My husband decided that next year the kids are staying at grandma's and maybe we will end up with a fake tree. We were laughing at our dog yesterday. She very shakily got up from her nap in the sun and tried hard to wag her sore tail at us.... this was how my husband felt as well. But the tree is up, the lights are on and the house is becoming Christmasized.
The next happy news is that this week is finals! This has been a hard semester on our family. 21+ credits takes its toll on family, health and finances. But the end is here. A break! And then one more semester! YAY!
Had a rough Molly day yesterday. I was called out of Sunday School to check on Molly. She was falling asleep in class. I took her to the bathroom and checked her. Sure enough she was sitting at a whopping 41! I tried not to look panicked. Thank goodness I had some apple juice in the diaper bag. I got her to wake up and take the juice, and then she returned to her normal self. I now know to always keep a little "low juice"(this is what Molly calls apple juice cans) with me at all times.
So today is filled with gifts to make, stories to read, house to clean and we are making BF&C tonight. I will have to take pictures.
